LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight's Robin Skin Parodies Bald Head Design

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which includes an Arkham trilogy pack, offers a closer look at its three DLC themed packs. In one of these packs, there is a skin inspired by the divisive design of Batman: Arkham Knight's Robin. The LEGO version features a bald-headed Tim Drake, poking fun at the controversial decision made in the game.

The Batman: Arkham series is not without its blemishes, despite how well-loved and popular it is, and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is committed to honoring it as it is.

Indeed, the LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Deluxe edition, which includes an Arkham trilogy pack with seven new suits, one new Batmobile, and five new Batcave props, is probably the sole reason why so many fans see this game as one of their most highly anticipated releases of 2026. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is basically an honorary Batman: Arkham game as is, anyway, as it unabashedly emulates Batman: Arkham Knight’s open-world and gameplay.

And, now that we have gotten a dedicated look at the Batman: Arkham-inspired skins that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight boasts, it is hilarious to see one of the most polarizing costume designs for Robin faithfully adapted into an adorable LEGO figure. On Twitter/X, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight recently released a Deluxe edition trailer that offered a closer look at its three themed DLC packs.

It will not be lost on Batman: Arkham fans how amusing it is to see a LEGO variant of Batman: Arkham franchise’s Robin, Tim Drake, and his bald head in-game. Because the Batman: Arkham-themed pack features a suit for each playable character, there were only two possible skin options that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s Robin could have received: the hooded cape with fingerless gauntlets and short sleeves on a simple, red-and-green suit from Batman: Arkham City; or a hooded cape with a basic yet overdesigned red-and-green suit from Batman: Arkham Knight.

While Batman: Arkham City’s Robin design is arguably quite terrific, it helps that players never see his shaved head beyond key art for the game. That said, Batman: Arkham Knight’s Robin never wears his hood up, exposing his shaved head to all of Gotham City. This look has never been considered savory for the Boy Wonder, aging him drastically in what was seemingly an attempt to modernize Tim and have him match the dark atmosphere of the games.

It may be extraordinarily distinguished, with no confusion as to where this design is from, but it is a subject of lighthearted mockery in the Batman: Arkham community more than anything else. The fact that this divisive look is immortalized in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s costume catalog is wonderful. Batman: Arkham Knight’s poor selection of Robin skins was lamentable, too, and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is rectifying that more than a decade later.

Regardless, even fans who are not fond of Robin’s bald-headed design may choose to wear this costume in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight for the sake of nostalgia and their love of the franchise, especially when they can dress Batman in the iconic V8.03 Batsuit.
