Two major highway ramp closures go into effect in Northeast Ohio Monday morning.
On I-90 , the W. 117th entrance ramps to I-90 eastbound will be closed for about 60 days for pavement replacement. Ohio Department of Transportation officials said the detour will be to take I-90 westbound to W.
140th Street back to I-90 eastbound. On I-480, the Ridge Road entrance ramp to I-480 westbound will be closed for about 60 days for pavement replacement.“Tearing out all the old pavement down to the dirt and rebuilding the road from the ground up,” said Brent Kovacs with the Ohio Department of Transportation.“Anytime we close a road or a street or anything like that the first couple weeks of that closure are the most challenging for motorists as they figure out their detour route,” said Kovacs.The Ridge Road ramp replacement comes in at $1.8 million.“Please just move over and slow down for any vehicle with flashing lights.
