Vritti Johar has been cast as a series regular in 'The Interrogator', a new 12-episode show starring Stephen Fry. She will play Astrid, a criminal psychologist and the estranged daughter of Fry’s character. The series follows former MI6 agent Conrad Henry and his team who use unconventional methods to solve crimes.

Sula will star as a series regular opposite Stephen Fry in the 12-episode show. She joins previously announced series regulars Jenna Elfman, Luke Kleintank and Michael Beach. Sula will play Astrid, a criminal psychologist described as sharp, funny and idealistic. Though a novice to the spy game, Astrid proves herself a natural in the field.
She serves as the somewhat estranged daughter to Fry’s lead character, Conrad Henry. The Interrogator centres on former MI6 agent Conrad Henry and his elite team. When conventional methods fail, Henry’s quirky charm and superior intellect unlock criminal minds. Lionsgate Television and Fox Entertainment produce the series, which received a straight-to-series order for the 2026-27 season.
Meanwhile, Astrid inherited her father’s natural ability to read people and his gift for guile. The character operates as a master shapeshifter and manipulator who only uses those powers for good. In fact, the show describes her as someone who could have succeeded as a con artist. Fry wrote the pilot script, with revisions from Matt Pyken and William Harper.
Notably, Harper’s contribution proved key in securing the greenlight for the series. Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie serve as executive producers and showrunners, while Fry also executive produces alongside Harper and Paul McGuigan, who will direct. Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman and Miriam Mintz, Neil Burger and Anonymous Content also executive produce. , opposite Colman Domingo and Miles Teller.
