) - Two people were arrested Wednesday after attempting to promote contraband at Ventress Correctional Facility , according to the Alabama Department of Corrections. On Wednesday, the ADOC K9 and Narcotics Units noticed two people attempt to promote contraband at the facility.
It is unclear how they did so. Seized contraband included 17 cell phones and nearly 700 grams marijuana.Ariyana Cateera Edwards and Reco Dynell Harris Harris and Edwards were arrested in Alexander City by the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force for unrelated charges. They were transported to the Tallapoosa County Jail where Harris is being held on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, second degree possession of marijuana, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
