This battery-powered trailer, while sharing a similar exterior design with the popular Basecamp 20, boasts a unique power source and several innovative features. At the heart of the 20Xe lies a 10.3-kWh lithium Battle Born battery pack, powering a fully inverted 30A electrical system.
This provides ample energy for all the trailer's onboard systems, including lighting, appliances, and even optional extras like a microwave and air conditioner. To supplement the battery's capacity, the 20Xe comes standard with a 600-watt rooftop solar panel, with the option to upgrade to a 900-watt system. This ensures that even when not connected to shore power, the 20Xe can maintain its energy reserves and provide a comfortable and convenient camping experience. Airstream hasn't specified the battery's run time, as this depends on individual usage patterns and the operation of energy-consuming appliances.The 20Xe retains the spacious and versatile interior layout of the Basecamp 20, offering sleeping accommodations for up to four people. Two convertible sleeping spaces, one in the rear seating area and another in the main hall, provide flexible sleeping arrangements. The trailer also features a well-appointed wet bath, a three-speaker JBL Audio sound system, and a removable single-burner induction cooktop that can be used both indoors and outdoors.
