) - Some of the top chefs in the state are teaming up for a dinner with some special lighting. It’s coming to Pike Road , and it’ll benefit the whole community.
“I would say The Lord has brought lots of different people together, ” said Patrick Quinn, the head pastor at Century Church. “And it started with the need for a missions building. ”since the start, ten years ago. To help pay for a community missions building, they came up with “A Night Under the Stars.
” Century Church is Pike Road teams up with some of the best chefs in the state for a Dinner Under the Stars. The proceeds will help build a missions building that can be used by the whole community. They’ve gathered some of the top chefs in the state, to make a monster feast. Jason McGarry is the executive chef at Central.
He’s not alone. Chefs from places like Locos Taqueria, The Hound in Auburn, Sushi Fresh, Local on Dexter, Cork and Clever, and Pike Road Coffee are joining the cause. Usually they’re competing for customers, but not on this night.
“Everybody in the restaurant industry knows how hard everybody else works,” said McGarry. “We may have different cuisines or different restaurants, some are high end, some are a little low end, but we’re all in it for the passion of hospitality. And honestly it took just really one phone call or a text to all these guys and they’re like ‘absolutely, we’re in.
’” It’ll be a night of appetizers, a five course meal, and dessert, in a setting that’s tough to match. Only 300 people will get to experience the night, “There will be long tables all under the poll barns and out in the land and with lights overhead,” said Pastor Quinn.
“If anyone’s ever been out here on a clear night, the way the stars just light up the night sky- it’s going to be an incredible time. ” Century Church is Pike Road teams up with some of the best chefs in the state for a Dinner Under the Stars. The proceeds will help build a missions building that can be used by the whole community. The true winner will be the community.
Along with Century Church projects, the new mission building will be available to the public, too.
