The Strongsville School District is pushing a bond on the May 5th ballot hoping to fund their Foundation for the Future Facilities Plan.

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - The Strongsville School District is pushing a bond on the May 5 ballot hoping to fund their Foundation for the Future Facilities Plan.

The preschool at the Muraski site will be renovated and expanded.

“What used to be a grass field on someone’s backyard there’s now going to be a building,” said Superintendent Cameron Ryba. “The average tax payer is going to pay about a dollar a day,” said Ryba. Just over $147 million of that would come from taxes and the rest is being paid for through capital improvement funds.

“We’re not going over the top with our plan,” said Ryba. “We’re not building the bare minimum just to get by, but were right sizing the plan”. The district says the brought out a surveyor to look at each school and determine which would be more cost effective to renovate and which needed to be torn down.
