Mendoza was reappointed for a second six-year term in 2022, and his seemingly sudden departure last month has raised questions from members of the Monroe County Legislature about the reasons behind it, particularly asSeveral legislators expressed surprise upon hearing the news.
Although initially surprised, Brew noted that in his corporate experience, non-disclosure clauses in separation agreements were not uncommon. According to the agreement, both parties are allowed to breach the non-disclosure agreement in compliance with a subpoena."Right now I don't believe there is any reason for a subpoena," Monroe County Legislature President Yversha Roman stated. "Ultimately, the administration has been very open and willing to brief the legislature. This particular matter is confidential, as it relates to a personnel issue, so I can understand why a briefing is being asked for.
