The Medina County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-motorcycle crash early Tuesday morning.
According to a release from the sheriff’s office, the report came in at approximately 1:31 a.m. on State Route 252 , or Columbia Road , near Boston Road in Liverpool Township .
Deputies said preliminary investigation indicates Hennis was driving southbound when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree stump and overturned into a wooded area. Hennis was taken to Brunswick Cleveland Clinic Hospital by Valley City Fire and EMS, but was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The crash is under investigation by the Medina County Sheriff’s Office and the Medina County Coroner’s Office pending further review and toxicology results.
