CLEVELAND , Ohio — A man armed with a knife was shot and killed by members of a law-enforcement task force Wednesday outside an office-supplies store on the West Side. According to a news release from Cleveland police, the shooting occurred just before 4:30 p.
m. at a Staples located at the corner of West 117th Street and Berea Road. Officers with Homeland Security Investigations / Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission task force were at the scene as part of a a narcotics investigation, police say. Police say the suspect encountered officers outside the store and took out a knife. Two task force officers, both members of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, fired at the suspect. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional information was released Wednesday night. Cleveland police are investigating the shooting.
