Brennan Meeks sentenced to two to four years in state prison.

Updated: Jan. 20, 2026, 4:42 p.m.Brennan Meeks will serve a two-year minimum jail term for unlawful contact with a minor.A former South Middleton School District bus driver was sentenced to two to four years in state prison Tuesday for trying to pursue sex acts with one of his student passengers.

Brennan Meeks, now 31, formerly of the 1300 block of North Pitt Street, Carlisle, pleaded no contest in July to a felony count of unlawful contact with minors. Because he’s already served eight months on the charges, Meeks could become eligible for parole by May 2027. But he will also have to go on Pennsylvania’s sex offender registry for 25 years. According to police reports, Meeks, an employee of Rohrer Bus who transported students to and from Boiling Springs High School, began texting two girls on his bus, ages 14 and 15, at the beginning of October 2023. The teens eventually started meeting him at a gas station where he bought them nicotine vapes, state police said. As the relationship evolved, Meeks once kissed the 15-year-old on the forehead during those meetings, showed her a completely nude photo of himself, and showed her a photo of him with a gun. Meeks then sent the 15-year-old girl explicit text messages discussing oral sex, sex toys and masturbation, according to state police. Meeks also talked to the teenager about sending him nude images of herself.Meeks was 28 years old at the time, and lived in Carlisle. He now lists his address as Baltimore, Md. When South Middleton School District became aware of the allegations - about two weeks after the texting started - it immediately informed Meeks and suspended him from his driving duties. Meeks then called the investigating trooper at PSP’s Carlisle station and claimed someone might have hacked his phone. Meeks didn’t show for an in-person interview the next day, police said, but he was ultimately arrested in Baltimore County. At Tuesday’s sentencing, Meeks — who at one point last month expressed interest in withdrawing his guilty plea — confirmed to Cumberland County Judge Christylee Peck he was willing to proceed with sentencing.Meeks described himself Tuesday as a “people person” who admittedly got carried away, but who never intended to hurt anyone. As part of the negotiated plea deal, county prosecutors dropped several more serious counts, including the crime of soliciting sex from a person under age 16. If convicted of that charge, Meeks’ could have faced a minimum jail term in excess of four years.
