His unwavering loyalty was dramatically demonstrated on the night of the king’s assassination, when he single-handedly defended Yona against the rebel forces, ensuring her escape from the palace. Since that fateful night, he has remained by her side, a constant source of strength and support.
While Hak harbored romantic feelings for Yona for a long time, the princess gradually reciprocated those feelings throughout their shared adventures. The final arc of the main story was emotionally resonant, culminating in Zeno’s difficult decision to break the centuries-old cycle of suffering endured by the Dragon Warriors. Yona bravely risked her life to save her friends, with Hak and Soo-won providing crucial assistance.
The disappearance of the Dragon Gods led to the loss of the blessings granted to the Dragon Warriors, stripping them of their powers and transforming them into ordinary humans.
