A 9-year-old girl was among two people shot near a North Side elementary school on Friday afternoon, officials said.
An Uptown shooting in Chicago left a man injured on Friday afternoon. He ran into Goudy Elementary School for help, the Chicago Fire Department said.Evidence markers littered the sidewalks after an eruption of gunfire had North Side school kids seeking cover on Friday afternoon.
The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. as school was letting out at Goudy Elementary near Winona Street and Winthrop Avenue, steps from the Argyle CTA Red Line stop.
