Alabama may experience severe storms this weekend, with a marginal Level 1 risk in the state’s southeastern part, including the Dothan , Enterprise , Andalusia , and Ozark areas. According to forecasters, the best chance of bad weather is in the extreme western portions of Alabama , which are under a Level 2 risk, though a few storms can’t be ruled out elsewhere, except the east-central region.
Chief Meteorologist David Paul said severe weather chances will be higher in western Wiregrass counties. This National Weather Service map shows the possibility of severe storms in Alabama during the weekend on October 18-18, 2025.Winds reaching 60 miles per hour, heavy rain, frequent lightning, and even an isolated tornado are possible. Sunday morning will be the best chance—and it is a minimal one—for bad weather in the southeastern portion of the state. Temperatures will soar to near record highs on Saturday with Dothan expected to reach the upper 80’s, but they will cool down a few degrees on Sunday.
