Professor Green reveals his emotional journey on Celebs Go Dating, discussing his grief over a past relationship, his health battles with Schwannomatosis, and his improved relationship with ex-wife Millie Mackintosh.

Professor Green , the 42-year-old British rapper and singer, made an emotional appearance on Tuesday's episode of Celebs Go Dating , where he revealed that he is still grieving the loss of his relationship two years after splitting from his fiancée, Karima McAdamson.

The couple, who share a five-year-old son named Slimane, ended their engagement in 2024 after getting engaged in 2021, just seven months after the birth of their child. During the show, Professor Green, whose real name is Stephen Paul Manderson, confessed to the dating professionals that he is unsure if he is ready to date again.

He expressed feelings of guilt and sadness, not just for himself but also for his family and his son, who he said is experiencing confusion due to the breakup. The rapper admitted that the emotional toll of the separation is still impacting him deeply, making it difficult for him to move forward romantically.

A source close to the couple told The Sun that Stephen and Karima had broken up months before the show aired and were trying to move on with their lives while remaining devoted parents to their son. The source added that Professor Green was focusing on his music career and building a stable life for Slimane.

Meanwhile, Professor Green also shared insights into his improved relationship with his ex-wife, Millie Mackintosh, after their bitter split in 2016. The former couple, who ended their three-year marriage in 2016, recently reconnected when Millie released her book Bad Drunk, which details her journey to sobriety. Professor Green revealed that they had a cordial exchange over email, where they discussed her book and their shared diagnosis of ADHD, which they both received later in life.

The rapper praised Millie for her respectful approach in informing him about the book's release, where he was mentioned. In addition to his personal struggles, Professor Green has been open about his health battles. He recently disclosed that he is battling a benign tumour behind his eye and three on his spine, as part of a rare condition called Schwannomatosis. This condition results in multiple benign tumours that can cause chronic pain and neurological dysfunction.

The singer shared on Instagram that he had undergone surgery to remove four painful growths from his head and neck, only to discover more tumours in other parts of his body. He described the experience as traumatic, both physically and mentally, as he had to wait weeks to confirm that the tumours were benign. Despite the challenges, Professor Green expressed acceptance of his condition, stating that he has learned to live with it and avoid negative thought patterns.

He emphasized the importance of staying present and not catastrophizing about the future, as it only leads to more suffering. The rapper's openness about his personal and health struggles has resonated with fans, who have praised his honesty and resilience in the face of adversity
