'Say a Little Prayer,' a new Latina romantic comedy shot in San Antonio, is set for wide release Thanksgiving.
San Antonio loves to roll out the red carpet for movies shot in the city. That goes double for when it's the star as well as the host of the show. The Alamo City proved it Tuesday with an exclusive advance screening of 'Say a Little Prayer,' the new Latina romantic comedy set and shot in San Antonio starring global music sensation Luis Fonsi , the multi-platinum artist behind the hit ' Despacito .' The film breaks wide Thanksgiving at select AMC Theatres.
Joaquin Castro watches, listens to The mayor and first lady Erika Nirenberg also attended to cheer on their teen son Jonah, who has a small part in 'Prayer.' And, of course, cheer on the city that features so prominently in the film. 'I'm hoping to see the colors of San Antonio shine very brightly,' the mayor said ahead of the opening credits. 'The vibrancy and the culture and character can't be replicated, and so I hope that comes across on the screen.
