Investigators say Jamayah Thompson and Horace Davis stole multiple items from a Walmart in Saraland, leading to a high-speed chase and arrest.
Investigators say 22-year-old Jamayah Thompson and 21-year-old Horace Davis stole multiple TV’s, clothes and other items worth around $1,000 from a Walmart in Saraland. Saraland Police Chief Bryson McDaniel says officers responded to the store after getting a call about a theft.
Once they arrived, officers say they learned one of the suspects showed a gun. That turned the theft into a robbery. Chief McDaniel says officers quickly found the suspects in the U-Haul and that’s when the chase started. The chase came to an end on Airport Boulevard and Huntleigh Way.
The driver’s side tires of the U-Haul were shredded after McDaniel says Mobile police used spike strips to stop the suspects. Davis is charged with first-degree robbery, resisting arrest, pistol possession by a prohibited person, possession of marijuana and more.
“To individuals that want to come to Saraland and commit a crime just know you will be caught, you will be charged and you will be arrested,” McDaniel said.
