Updated: Sep. 16, 2025, 6:45 p.m.Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 7, southbound Route 11/15 will be placed in a single lane configuration at the bridge.The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced that a superstructure replacement project for the bridge that carries northbound Route 11/15 over Conodoguinet Creek in Wormleysburg Borough and East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, is scheduled to resume soon.
Weather permitting, on Wednesday, Oct. 1, the park and boat launch downstream of the bridge at Front Street in East Pennsboro Township will be closed through May 1, 2026, for construction activities including bridge demolition, rebuilding piers, beam setting and construction materials staging, a press release said. Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 7, southbound Route 11/15 will be placed in a single lane configuration at the bridge. Northbound traffic on Route 11/15 will be shifted to the other lane on the existing southbound bridge so that a single lane in each direction will run on the southbound bridge. A temporary pedestrian walkway will also be in place.
