A man has died in a residential trailer fire in Fairbanks on Sunday.
The University Fire Department received a report of the fire on Sunday shortly after 1:30 a.m. The fire was in the Goldrush Estates mobile home park. According to a dispatch report, crews found heavy fire involvement throughout the trailer when they first arrived.
During a primary search of the structure, fire crews found and extracted an adult man with significant burn injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his burn injuries. His body is being transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for confirmation of identification and autopsy. No foul play is suspected at this time, according to Alaska’s Division of Fire and Life Safety.
