Several law enforcement organizations executed search warrants across several businesses in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley as part of an investigation into suspected sex trafficking
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Several law enforcement organizations executed search warrants across several businesses in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley as part of an investigation into suspected sex trafficking, according to a statement from the Alaska State Troopers .
The effort included officers from the Anchorage Police Department, the AST, the FBI Anchorage Field Office and others, according to the statement. The executed search warrants concerned seven illicit massage parlors. The seven businesses searched in connection with the investigation are Jasmine Spa, Zen Massage, Stream Health Spa of Wasilla, and Phoenix Health Spa, Owl Health Spa, Renew Day Spa and Red House Massage of Anchorage. Two residences were also searched.Seven people were also arrested as part of the operation. The individuals and the crimes they’re being charged with are as followed:Guoguo Zhang, 54, second and third-degree sex traffickingXiong Xiaotian, 40, second and third-degree sex traffickingHui Zhang, 44, second and third-degree sex trafficking Investigators worked to identify and contact potential victims. People believed to be victims were offered support services and resources through governmental and non-profit victim service organizations. A press conference with members of the AST, APD and FBI Anchorage will provide an overview of the operation in a press conference at 10 a.m. Thursday.
