A neighbor of the victim said he was the sole caregiver for his mother. The two lived together in a Cleveland neighborhood.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the victim in a deadly shooting outside a Costco in Strongsville as Randy Corrigan .
Corrigan, 61, spent years caring for others. An online fundraiser set up for his funeral expenses describes him as selfless and caring. Corrigan was the sole caregiver for his mother. The two lived together in a Cleveland neighborhood on the city’s west side, driving to Strongsville to work at Costco.
A neighbor who knew Corrigan for years and wished to remain anonymous said Corrigan moved to the neighborhood years ago with his mother. The neighbor said whenever their paths crossed, the conversation almost always found its way to Jeeps.
“He drove Jeeps and he liked to be out on the road a lot and working a bit. Bee bopping back in to take care of mom and everything,” the neighbor said. Talking with Corrigan’s neighbors, it’s clear he loved Jeeps and cared deeply about those around him. He volunteered to look after neighbors’ houses when they were out of town and helped wherever he could.
