The recall covers vanilla bean, strawberry, cookie dough, Dutch chocolate, and mint chip ice cream products distributed in 17 states, including California, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
The recall affects a small number of production runs of the creamery’s Organic Ice Cream in pint and quart containers , the notice said. The products were distributed beginning May 4 to retailers in 17 states, including California, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
Recalled products include vanilla bean ice cream in pint containers with best-by dates of Dec. 23 and Dec. 28, 2026; strawberry ice cream in quart containers with a best-by date of Dec. 24, 2026; strawberry ice cream in pint containers with a best-by date of Dec. 25, 2026; cookie dough ice cream in pint containers with a best-by date of Dec. 26, 2026; Dutch chocolate ice cream in quart containers with a best-by date of Dec. 27, 2026; and mint chip ice cream in pint containers with a best-by date of Dec. 30, 2026. Straus said no injuries had been reported as of Friday.
The FDA said consumers should not eat or return the recalled ice cream and instead should discard it. Consumers can identify affected products by the best-by dates printed in black on the outside bottom of the containers.
