In posts on X, Owens alleged low ticket sales, while event organizers asserted “serious threats” prompted Kirk’s last‑minute decision to cancel the interview with Vice President J.D. Vance. Social media clips showing empty seats circulated, though no official attendance figures were released.
Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet told attendees the threats were part of ongoing harassment. Vance proceeded after security consultations and defended Kirk’s choice. Kirk referenced her security team’s advice amid continued scrutiny following husband Charlie Kirk’s fatal shooting in September 2025.
