Ex-husband of supermodel Kate Moss, Jamie Hince, was seen sprawled on the concrete after losing his balance and falling near Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.
Jamie Hince , the ex-husband of supermodel Kate Moss , ensured his latest public appearance was a memorable one on Sunday evening - albeit for the wrong reasons.
The Kills musician was left red-faced after losing his balance and falling in a crumpled heap shortly after leaving legendary Los Angeles venue Chateau Marmont. Hince, 57, whose five year marriage to Moss ended in 2016, had been attending a Christian Dior party before disaster struck as he made his way onto the sidewalk.
Wearing a cropped leather jacket and generously cut trousers, the guitarist already appeared to be unsteady on his loafer-clad feet before losing his balance and landing heavily in the gutter. A chastened Hince was seen face down and spreadeagled on the concrete before attempting to pull himself into an upright position. The British star exchanged vows with Moss in 2011, four years after meeting the catwalk legend through a mutual friend.
Their relationship started shortly after Moss ended her turbulent engagement to troubled Libertines and Babyshambles star Pete Doherty. They married in a village church in the Cotswolds in July 2011, with the supermodel accompanied by fifteen bridesmaids, including her daughter Lila Grace. Moss looked stunning in a vintage-style cream dress and matching floor-length veil, designed by close friend John Galliano.
But by 2015 the marriage was crumbling, with the couple reportedly confiding in friends that they were unable to repair their relationship problems.
'They are properly over as a married couple. It's gone past the point of no return,' a source told The Sun at the time.
'Jamie's just waiting for Kate to move forward with divorce proceedings. Neither are in any hurry but they both suspect there won't be a reconciliation.
' Sources claimed a contributing factors in the couple's problems was Moss' jealousy concerning his various friendships with other people. Mutual friends of the couple were said to have sided with Hince in the wake of their separation. The Daily Mail previously revealed the pair were leading separate lives, sparking fears of a potential split.
There were also rumours that Hince had been spending an increasing amount of time with London DJ and model Lady Mary Charteris and her musician husband Robbie Furze. It was claimed that Moss had made no secret of her dislike for Lady Mary. Hince and Moss divorced in 2016, and sources claimed a contributing factor was the supermodel's jealousy concerning his various friendships with other people.
