The City of Brook Park will receive $24.8 million from the Browns’ Development Group, Primacy Development LLC, for startup costs tied to the domed stadium project.

BROOK PARK , Ohio - The City of Brook Park will receive $24.8 million from the Browns’ Development Group, Primacy Development LLC, for startup costs tied to the domed stadium project.Mayor Edward Orcutt said the agreement represents progress on the stadium development.

“It makes me feel good, it makes me feel like we’re doing our job,” Orcutt said. “When you have the constituents, the people that you work for, come out and cheer for a piece of legislation like this, it’s important, it tells you we’re moving in the right direction.”The city will then receive payments of $250,000 for eight months, followed by monthly installments of $500,000.Orcutt said work remains to prepare the stadium for kickoff in 2029. “As much as we’re excited, you know, tomorrow we have to get up in the morning and continue to work,” Orcutt said. “There’s pedestrian walkways that have to be installed, there’s inspectors that need to be hired, which we’ve done. There’s a lot of moving parts that we have to do.” With the approval of the pre-development plan, the city can now create a community authority to eventually own the stadium site, a major component under Ohio law to get additional public funding.“I would like to say we could have the new community authority formed early summer, mid-summer, no later than that,” Orcutt said. “That seems to be an easy part from what I understand of this whole project.”Rocky River High School baseball team coaches resign after incident with fraternity members in Myrtle Beach, SCFather kills 7 of his children plus another child in shooting after domestic dispute, police sayMother sues Shoregate Towers after 40 days without water followed by eviction noticeMan arrested after allegedly firing gun several times during family argument inside Fairview Park home
