The Bruins have 18 players committed in the 2027 class with seven four-star prospects and 11 three-star prospects. Among the standout position groups is the secondary. Four-star cornerback JuJu Johnson is ranked 109th in the country, 12th among all cornerbacks, and 11th in California. Also, adding two four-star safeties in the class, including Khalil Terry and Pole Moala.
Trey Hopkins, a cornerback from Pennsylvania, was recently crystal balled to UCLA by 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn. Hopkins brings a physical profile and competes on the ball, recording 31 total tackles, 19 pass breakups, and one interception as a junior. He measures at 6 feet 2 inches and 200 pounds, with length and athleticism. With his contribution already in 2026, his long-term investment in the program has already shown dividends.
With only five prospects in the class, Hopkins' commitment is crucial for the hamstring role with a new coaching staff. At the college level, having a large physical corner contributes significantly in the secondary
