The U.S. Marshals Service’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Dawn Burge Tuesday after she fled to Lorain County.

LORAIN, Ohio - The U.S. Marshals Service’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Dawn Burge Tuesday after she fled to Lorain County . In June 2025, New Jersey police responded to a domestic dispute where officers located a male victim with stab wounds.

According to a release from the U.S. Marshals Service, the New York-New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force discovered that Burge fled the state and relocated to Lorain County. The task force tracked down Burge on Griswold Road Tuesday and transported her to the Lorain County Jail, where she is being held.

“The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force will not stand for violent fugitives fleeing from other states to our communities. We have a strong presence in all our counties that we cover, and we will track down and arrest these fugitives,” Pete Elliott, U.S. Marshal, said.
