A 60-year-old man was diagnosed with penile ossification after an X-ray revealed extensive calcification in his penis. The man declined further treatment.
A man in his 60s went to the doctor for a knee injury. He also complained of pain in his penis. Doctors didn't find any usual signs of penile issues, so they took an X-ray. The X-ray revealed extensive calcification along the length of his penis. Doctors diagnosed him with penile ossification , a condition where calcium salts build up in the penis's tissues, forming a bone-like structure. The man declined further examination or treatment.
Doctors believe he may have had Peyronie's disease, which causes inflammation and scar tissue in the penis. Other possible causes include metabolic disorders, kidney disease, repeated trauma, and sexually transmitted diseases
