Through their tireless dedication, they’ve helped raise millions of dollars for Texas Children’s Hospital. “It’s a circle of love. We’ve been doing this for over a century, and we continue that tradition today,” said Jacobson. These aren’t your typical Easter baskets. Each one starts with a Blue Bell ice cream container – yes, you read that right – and is then lovingly decorated with individual petals and flowers. The process takes about an hour and involves 18 steps to complete. The baskets have been a tradition of the Blue Bird Circle for years, with volunteers getting started on these beauties as early as August. And the best part? The baskets are only $20 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Pediatric Neurology clinic. The Blue Bird Circle’s annual Easter egg sale features handcrafted ceramic eggs, each designed by volunteers.
