Environmental groups sued the Trump administration on Monday over its approval of oil company BP’s ultra deep-water drilling project in the Gulf of Mexico. The groups filed the lawsuit on the 16th anniversary of the nation’s worst offshore oil spill, when BP’s Deepwater Horizon oil rig sent 134 million gallons of crude spewing into the ocean.
