The grand Victorian at 2315 Broadway in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood has stood for 127 years and hosted generations of social gatherings. On April 23, it opened its doors for the San Francisco Decorator Showcase's Patron Preview Gala, offering donors and supporters a first look at this year's showhouse.

The Queen Anne-style home, designed in 1897 by Moses J. Lyon, was reimagined across three floors by 18 design firms, featuring work from both established and emerging designers. During the evening, University High School students Anabel Hamill on classical guitar and Ava Behnia on violin performed live as guests sampled dishes from McCall’s Catering, including sturgeon caviar, beef tenderloin galette and cavatappi pasta prepared tableside in a parmesan wheel.

The following evening’s Opening Night Party drew another large crowd.
Jessica Lasky Catering served sushi handrolls, lamb and beef meatballs, arancini and mocha fudge macarons, while University High School alumnus Tobias Butler of Tuneshine provided music throughout the event. The evening’s signature cocktail, The Grand Estate, featured St. George gin, maraschino cherry liqueur, crème de violette and lemon. The showhouse opened to the public April 25 and runs through May 25.
Participating designers include Kendall Wilkinson Design, Tineke Triggs Interiors, Peruri Design Company, Castellanos Interiors and Lizette Marie Interior Design, among others. The residence also features views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay and the Palace of Fine Arts. Proceeds from the showcase benefit the Financial Aid Program at San Francisco University High School. The event was co-chaired by Jessica Moment and Amy Norman.
