CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The Lake County Sheriff ’s Office is investigating a rollover crash that left a passenger dead on Thursday night. According to a Lake County Sheriff ’s Office Facebook post, at around 11:05 p.
m., deputies responded to the area of Prouty Road between Auburn and Ravenna Road for a one-car crash. One 911 caller reported that the car was on its hood and had hit a utility pole, bringing wires down. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found good Samaritans offering aid to the occupants, according to the post. Investigators learned that there were two people in the car when it went off the south side of the road, hit a utility pole, and snapped it. Deputies said the car then went airborne, rolled at least once and came to a stop on its hood in the front yard of a home.Firefighters from the Concord Township Fire Department arrived, rendered aid and eventually removed them from the car.According to the release, the passenger was taken to the hospital and later died.
