Dothan police are investigating what they believe was a homicide discovered Saturday morning.
DOTHAN, Ala. - Dothan police are investigating what are certain was a homicide after a body was found Saturday morning in the yard of a Mauldin Drive home, authorities said.
Major Will Glover confirmed the investigation, saying officers found the victim’s body during the 8 a.m. hour, though investigators are unsure when the person died.
Glover said several shell casings were found about 20 yards away on the pavement of Owens Street. “We are obviously talking to neighbors and collecting evidence,” Glover said at the scene. He was accompanied by Lt. Ronald Hall, the Dothan Police Department’s senior investigator.
Police did not immediately say whether the victim lived at the home where the body was found nor did they release additional details about the victim.
