Seattle police officers investigating a suspected shooting in the Chinatown-International District. The Seattle Police Department is actively looking for a suspect who stabbed a man multiple times Sunday afternoon.
According to the department, the stabbing occurred near the Olympic Sculpture Park, along Broad Street, in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood at approximately 5:45 p.m. Sunday. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 21-year-old man who had been stabbed multiple times. SPD later determined that a fight broke out during a celebration of life ceremony. The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times and ran off before police arrived.
Officers searched the area, but could not find him. The circumstances leading up to the incident are under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 233-5000. Anonymous tips are accepted.
