Are we all ready for Off Campus to take over? If you thought Prime Video was going to leave us without a hit YA this spring-summer, we've got great news for you because the streamer is looking to repeat the magic of The Summer I Turned Pretty with a bunch of YA titles this season, and first up is the long-anticipated hockey drama.
Based on the bestselling book series by Canadian author Elle Kennedy, Off Campus is being adapted for TV by Louisa Levy, and long before its premiere and before we even got a teaser, the show already had a dedicated fandom to propel the title in the popularity ranks. Now, after much waiting, the release of season one is finally around the corner, so what better way to get ready than by brushing up on everything we know about the project so far?
Below, we've gathered everything you need to know about Off Campus before it premieres—and what to bear in mind once it finishes as well! Season one of Off Campus premieres globally on May 13, 2026. All eight episodes will be available simultaneously on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Prime Video describes Off Campus as a 'college soap.
' Per the official logline, the show “follows an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood. ” Season one, which, as mentioned above, has eight episodes, follows the “opposites attract” love story between songwriter Hannah Wells and Briar University’s all-star hockey athlete Garrett Graham .
The season will thus adapt Elle Kennedy's 2015 novel The Deal. Hannah and Garrett's story begins when the two strike a deal, hence the book's title. She would tutor him, and he would help her make her crush, Justin Kohl , jealous.
However, as the logline on one of Prime Video's posters teases, love was never part of the deal. Of course, the team is taking liberties in adapting the stories, so don't expect the show to be a perfect replica.
“We scoured the books, and we did a lot of work to try to fold in as many of those Easter eggs as possible,” Louisa Levy told Teen Vogue. “Some of them are real moments, but maybe they don’t take place in the order of the books. So I would say look out for the similarities that might not come the way you expect.
” The principal cast of Off Campus includes Ella Bright as Hannah Wells, Belmont Cameli as Garrett Graham, Mika Abdalla as Allie Hayes, Antonio Cipriano as John Logan, Jalen Thomas Brooks as John Tucker, Josh Heuston as Justin Kohl, and Stephen Kalyn as Dean Di Laurentis. There is indeed.
Prime Video released the official trailer for Off Campus in April. In the trailer, which you can see below, we see Hannah and Garrett inking their deal and then tension building from their fake dating as secrets come to light. Prime Video has also put out a set of photos from Off Campus, giving us a closer look at some of the characters, which you can also see by scrolling horizontally in the gallery below.
On April 30, Prime Video also put out a brand new pic showing Hannah and Garrett getting up close and personal on the ice, which you can see below: It is indeed! Prime Video announced that Off Campus had been renewed for a second season in February 2026, before season one even premiered. The streamer announced the news in a video of the crew breaking it to the cast, which you can see below.

” As Teen Vogue previously noted, like the books, each season of Off Campus will likely focus on a different love story within an interconnected group of university students, so think of it as a new type of Bridgerton. That timeline has given the producers of the show a starting point from which to plan ahead.
“We aged down Tucker, for instance. He’s the oldest in the books, and he’s the youngest in our series,” Louisa Levy told us.
“That’s just because his is the fourth book, and we want to make sure he’s still in college by the time we get there. We don’t want to be forced to overlap timelines in the same way if that doesn’t make sense for us. We want to keep driving the story forward, and we don’t want to be limited in that regard. ” This post will be updated as news about Off Campus breaks.
