Residents of East Young Street experience relief after a violent neighbor dispute ends in a shooting, while a nurse fights for recovery after liver failure during her honeymoon. Additionally, a man is arrested for drunk driving, and a missing teen is found safe.

Residents of East Young Street in San Antonio report a noticeable calm in their neighborhood following a violent altercation that left one man critically injured.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, involved a long-standing dispute between neighbors that escalated into gunfire. The 53-year-old shooter, who remains uncharged at this time, is said to have acted in self-defense after the 58-year-old victim allegedly threatened him with a knife. Witnesses describe the victim as a persistent source of fear and disruption in the community, with a history of aggressive behavior, including trespassing on properties and brandishing weapons like rocks and axes.

One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, stated, 'He's scaring the neighborhood, and he's terrorizing. It's basically terrorists walking around nude, walking around with an object, anything: whether it's a rock, whether it's an ax.

' Another neighbor added, 'It's sad to say, but the breeze feels peace. It feels calm.

' The shooting appears to be the culmination of years of tension, with multiple disturbance calls logged by authorities, including incidents involving knives. Despite the tragic outcome, some residents express relief, though they acknowledge the gravity of the situation.

'I wouldn't want him back over here, personally, as a neighbor,' one woman said. 'It would be scary. ' The shooter, who attempted to de-escalate the confrontation, was released by officers at the scene, though the investigation remains ongoing.

Meanwhile, in another part of San Antonio, the family of Sarah Danh, a labor and delivery nurse, shares cautious optimism as she recovers from sudden liver failure suffered during her honeymoon in Japan. Danh was medically evacuated and remains on life support, but her family reports signs of improvement.

Additionally, a 26-year-old man, Miguel Angel Ortiz, was arrested for drunk driving and drug charges following a major accident in Far Northwest Bexar County. In more positive news, 16-year-old Alana Segovia, who had been reported missing, was found alive and well by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. These events highlight both the challenges and resilience of the San Antonio community
