Iran is considering different options to retaliate following U.S. strikes on nuclear facilities as the United States has thousands ofAccording to CNN, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called for strikes on U.S. Navy ships and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key trading corridor in the region. The U.S. currently has two aircraft carriers near Israel, the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Nimitz. The USS Nimitz was moved to the region following the first strikes by Israel earlier in June. The United States could also face legal action as a result of the strikes. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran released aThis action, contrary to international law, was unfortunately carried out in the shadow of indifference and even with the cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency.According to the New York Times, the United States used six B-2 bombers to drop more a dozen bunker buster bombs on the key Iranian nuclear facility of Fordow. The Times also reported that Navy submarines fired on the other two sites, Natanz and Isfahan. President Donald Trump said the Secretary of Defense would provide more information about the operation in a press conference Sunday morning.
