NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio - A proposal headed to city council could add beer to North Ridgeville’s summer concert series. Under the proposal, a licensed beer tent would operate inside a fenced-off garden near the South Central Park gazebo stage.
No outside alcohol would be allowed. Hannah Barkhurst, North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation program supervisor, said beer could draw more people to the events. “We want to get more people there, spotlight the beauty of our park and the versatility of what we can do in the park,” Barkhurst said.“The residents that I’ve spoken to, they are extremely thrilled about bringing beer to this event,” Rogerson said.The first summer concert series kicks off June 7 with 45 RPM Band from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Other scheduled performances include Funkology on June 21, Canada Rocks USA on July 12, and Hip to That on Aug. 16.
