On Selena Day, April 16, here are some must-see landmarks honoring the late Tejano star.

To say Selena left her mark on San Antonio would be an understatement. In the years before her tragic death in 1995, the late Tejano star practically made the Alamo City her second home with numerous performances, pitstops and even her own boutique. Now her spirit lives on in memories and tributes across the city, from murals that honor the Grammy -winning artist to movie locations used for 'Selena,' her 1997 biographical film.

As colorful as the sweets inside, Alan Calvo's Aztec-inspired Selena mural outside at Alamo Candy showcases the singer in her iconic purple jumpsuit from her 1995 performance at the former Astrodome in Houston. Selena’s music video site at The Espee The nightclub and events venue formerly known as Sunset Station originally opened in 1903 as the Southern Pacific Railroad Station.
