BURTON, Ohio — The head baseball coach for Berkshire High School is facing a felony charge after investigators with the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office say he sent a “lewd/pornographic” photo to a student.
Nick Burzanko, 35, of Middlefield, is charged with disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a fifth-degree felony, a news release from the sheriff’s office says. The news release says investigators “discovered” the photo sent to a juvenile student through the social media app Snapchat, but offers no other details. Burzanko is also listed on the Berkshire website as the assistant sport coordinator for the district and as an assistant coach on the football team.that Burzanko had been in contact with the student for two years. The Maple Leaf reports the student is 17 years old. Chardon Municipal Court records show Burzanko was arraigned Friday and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to again appear in court on Nov. 13.
