Even the event's location is a bit of a secret
Sunrises might be the reason Saint Laurent’s Anthony Vaccarello threw an intimate dinner in Miami to celebrate the artist Sho Shibuya and the YSL-sponsored exhibition for his exquisite and moving paintings, which celebrate the dawning of a new day. But Vaccarello knows that you always have the most fun when it gets to after dark.
Gathering together a coterie of his YSL besties—Zoë Kravitz, Amber Valletta, Hailey Bieber, Paul Hameline, Anja Rubik, Mica Arganaraz, Kiki Willems, and Clara 3000—as well as the likes of Ashton Sanders, Olivia Rodrigo, Nicola Vassell, Ludovic Nkoth, Emmanuel Perrotin, Maja Hoffmann, Harmony Korine, Christian Coppola, and Pote, Vaccarello feted Shibuya with a candlelit dinner at...well, we’re not talking about the location, because ssshhh, it’s a bit of a secret.
Getting up to thank everyone for coming, Francesca Bellettini, Saint Laurent’s CEO, also took a moment to remember Virgil Abloh, citing Abloh’s creativity and passion as an inspiration to the industry. It was a gracious and moving reminder that, fun aside, what matters most in the end is doing everything with heart and with soul.
