Today, our First Alert starts at 4 pm. for snow showers, but more importantly, for the chance of snow squalls.Snow squalls reduce visibility quickly and will lead to dangerous driving conditions. The threat for this ends by 5 a.m. Saturday, but then the wind and arctic air move in. Through Saturday morning to Monday morning, gusts will range between 40 and 65 miles per hour, plus wind chills of -10 to -20 degrees below zero. We will not see a break from the arctic blast until Monday afternoon and will not return above freezing until Tuesday afternoon.NBC10 First Alert Weather Team are tracking the chance for snow squalls for the weekend. Snow squalls reduce visibility quickly and will lead to dangerous driving conditions. The threat for this ends by Saturday morning.
