Holyoake Tasmania is a specialist counselling and education service providing therapeutic interventions for children and adults affected by alcohol, drugs and other addictive behaviours. Sarah Charlton told the hearing ice was now the primary illicit drug used by people in Holyoake's recovery program.She said often those children had parents who had previously committed their own crimes and been in prison.
"So these kids, well you know where they're going to end up. If they don't end up in Ashley well they'll certainly end up in Risdon."And you think, we need to be putting more money into young children and about respect and self-respect … before they get on that roundabout.
