Drug-crazed Robert Pollock claimed the man owed him money and subjected him to a 19-minute ordeal of threats and violence.
A yob has been jailed for a "nasty" unprovoked attack on a stranger who was waiting for a train at Motherwell Train Station.
She told the court: "The victim was simply waiting for a train when the accused approached and shouted that he owed him £100. "Pollock, who was intoxicated, fell to the ground himself but got up and continued to shout and make threats. Mr Boland said Pollock has been in custody since his arrest in June and last month became a father for the first time.
