idity for just RM30. It will be offered by local telco companies, including Yes, which today announced that its prepaid users can access both 4G and 5G networks via the package.
However, there’s a catch, whereby users can only browse both networks at 3Mbps speed. Taking to its official Twitter page, Yes announced that it is excited to introduce the Pakej Perpaduan Yes promotion. The company further asserted that the special prepaid package will provide 30GB internet under its 4G and 5G networks but at 3Mbps and with 180 days validity. Essentially, Yes is offering the same features of Pakej Perpaduan as announced by the Ministry of Communications and Digital but with the addition of access to the 5G network.
Of course, having a 3Mbps speed cap for 5G is rather comical, though given the access to 5G is in addition to LTE, it does have the benefit of wider coverage for customers.
