Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, has launched Grok 3, a new AI model claiming to surpass existing reasoning models in capabilities. Experts praise its speed, computational power, and ability to process real-time information. Available to Premium+ 'X' subscribers and direct users, Grok 3 offers advanced features and potentially outperforms competitors like OpenAI and DeepMind.

Elon Musk 's artificial intelligence company xAI unveiled its Grok 3 model during a launch event on Tuesday. The company asserts that Grok 3 surpasses other reasoning models in its capabilities. Cybersecurity experts Blaine Fisher of Tulane University and Rajiv Garg of Emory University expressed initial admiration for Grok 3 .

Fisher highlighted its superior computational power, stating, 'Grok was always more powerful, faster than the others and what really sets this one apart is more raw horsepower.' Garg echoed this sentiment, noting its ability to access real-time information more effectively than models like ChatGPT or Gemini. xAI claims that Grok 3 boasts ten times the computing power of its predecessors and outperforms OpenAI and DeepMind models in a range of mathematical, scientific, and coding assessments. Garg exemplified Grok 3's abilities by stating, 'Give me my personality based on my tweets and it is able to do that very well. It's able to generate the Python code as well.' Fisher delved into the model's architecture, explaining, 'It takes a task but breaks it up to multiple subtasks and multimodal mini-groks attach each of those subtasks together.'Rob McDole, an AI expert at Cedarville University, suggested that Grok 3's accuracy likely surpasses its previous iterations and was trained using data from 'X,' formerly known as Twitter. Despite its advanced features, McDole believes it doesn't hold a significant lead over other existing models. He remarked, 'I would say it's just slightly better. I mean we're talking just a couple of points if that.' Grok 3 is accessible to new Premium+ 'X' subscribers for $40 per month, an increase from the previous $22 monthly rate. It's also available to users who subscribe directly through Grok's app or website
