Elon Musk 's artificial intelligence company xAI unveiled its latest model, Grok 3 , during a launch event on Tuesday. xAI asserts that Grok 3 surpasses other reasoning models in its capabilities. Cyber experts Blaine Fisher from Tulane University and Rajiv Garg from Emory University expressed initial impressions of Grok 3 as impressive, highlighting its superior speed and ability to process real-time information compared to models like ChatGPT and Gemini .
According to xAI, Grok 3 boasts ten times the computing power of its predecessors and outperforms both OpenAI and DeepSeek models in math, science, and coding tests. Garg demonstrated Grok 3's capabilities by having it analyze his tweets to generate a personality profile and create Python code. Fisher explained that Grok 3's strength lies in its ability to break down complex tasks into smaller subtasks, with specialized 'multimodal mini-groks' tackling each subtask individually.Rob McDole, an AI expert at Cedarville University, believes Grok 3's accuracy surpasses its previous model and was trained using data from 'X,' formerly known as Twitter. Despite its advanced features, McDole suggests that Grok 3's lead over other existing models is relatively small.
