The Guinness World Record holder has always dreamed of riding a plane, but life with Weaver syndrome has prevented that — until now.
The world’s tallest woman is reaching new heights.
The 25-year-old Turkey native jetted from Istanbul to San Francisco in September and says she’s now caught the travel bug. Gelgi shared several photos from the ride, which was made possible with the help of Turkish Airlines. The company took out half dozen seats from its economy section and replaced it with a specially-made stretcher for Gelgi to lie on.
Gelgi says she plans to stay in the US for the next six months, and is currently sharing snaps from her journey through California.Gelgi is seen prior to her departure. Her international travel made headlines in her native Turkey.The intrepid youngster is seen standing head and shoulders above the team who assisted her on the journey.— a rare genetic condition that causes bone overgrowth — and has been super tall ever since she was child.
