The Ferrari supercar retains its numbers-matching engine and gearbox, and rocks a blue interior
The car's color is inspired by the 250 GTO famously built for Stirling Moss. This F40 has just over 19,000 miles on the clock. Ferrari licensed Amalgam to create 1:8 and 1:18 scale models of the car. The Ferrari F40 is widely regarded as one of the finest supercars ever built, and a one-off example is heading to auction this weekend, where it’s expected to sell for between $1.9 million and $2.5 million.
Rather than respraying it in red yet again, the owner took inspiration from a 250 GTO – chassis number 3505 – and had it repainted in a lovely shade of pale green. The interior has also been retrimmed in blue upholstery. Ferrari usually hates its owners modifying and customizing their cars, but this F40 is different. The Italian carmaker even licensed Amalgam to make 1:8 and 1:18 scale models of the car.
