Veterans sign up to protect our country, but there is often times trauma that follows their service. Here in our state 147 veterans died by suicide in 2022. Sandra Lucas Assistant Commissioner for outreach and engagement with Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs says prevention is everything when it comes to preventing veterans suicide.
Veterans must know there is help available. Lucas and Stack Johnston say it will take all of us to make a difference.
